我們約 2011 年7月28日晚上 8點見面

This art work was a project for the “Post Attitude-The Joint Exhibition of Taiwanese Young Artists” held at Mexico City from July to September in 2011.The opening was at 8 p.m. on the 28th of July, at the Ex Teresa Arte Actual Church. Due to various reasons, I wasn’t able to be there for preparation; therefore I chose to use “absence” as a connection between me and the place.

During one night in May, I met a Mexican boy in a gay chat room and enjoyed our time chatting and flirting. I told him I’ll be in his city on the 28th and can meet him at 8 p.m., and also spend a night with him. We made our meeting point at the exhibition: Ex Teresa Arte Actual, the grand church with a history for over a hundred years.

The progress of this online conversation was handwritten on numbers of post-it notes, and they will be presented on every corner of the church at the opening night of the exhibition on the 28th of July. And I will not show up at the exhibition.

The account of the chat room will be removed on the night of the 28th, erasing all of my traces.

I wishfully imagined the complicated feelings the boy would have when he sees the dubious and delightful conversation reappears in this space like a phantom, regardless of my absence might make him angry.This work is about the bits and pieces that occurred during those moments of making promises, gathering, and devoting to one another. And also the strength of molding those cheap moments into eternity.

The notes except the yellow and blue ones are the words left by the spectators during the two-months exhibition.

這件作品是為 2011 年 7 月至 9 月，於墨西哥城舉辦的「後態度 - 台灣年輕藝術家聯展」的計畫。開 幕時間為 2011 年 7 月 28 日晚間 8 點，於 Ex Teresa Arte Actual 大教堂。因為諸多原因，我無法 至現場布展，所以便以「缺席」為我與此地的連結

在 5 月一個晚上，我在網路同志聊天室上邂逅了一位墨西哥男孩，與他愉快的聊天調情。我告訴他， 7 月我會到他的城市，28 號那天晚上 8 點可以跟他碰面，並共度一個晚上。見面地點就約在展覽現 場 ：Ex Teresa Arte Actual，這座百年歷史的大教堂。

這些網路對話的過程，被手寫在一張張便條紙上，它們將於 7 月 28 號展覽開幕當晚，呈現在這個教 堂的各個角落。而我並不會出現在展覽現場。

那個聊天室的網路帳號，將於 28 日當晚關閉，並移除我留在那裏的所有蹤跡。

在藍黃便條紙之外的混雜的紙張，是在兩個月的展期中，觀眾留下來的話語。這裡呈現出來的，約 莫是其中的 1/3。
